What Happens During Wheel Stripping & Replating?

When a single-layer electroplated wheel reaches end of life, DIANAMIC® removes the worn abrasive layer and applies a new electroplated superabrasive coating on your existing core. The goal is straightforward: bring the wheel back to a reliable cut using the core you already own.

The cost of replating a single-layer superabrasive tool is considerably less than a full replacement, with typical savings ranging from 20% to 50% depending on the superabrasive type, mesh/micron size, and wheel geometry.
